Harbor Cant

Harbor Cant is less a language than a layered etiquette: rope knots, cup placement, chalk marks, and half-sung warnings.

Common Signals

  • A cup upside down means a table is safe for hard talk.
  • Three chalk cuts on a doorframe mean “credit refused.”
  • A red cord around a lantern means the house is mourning and should not be bargained with.

At The Table

Use Harbor Cant when players need a public clue that still feels local and lived-in.
